FAQ
If you are going to take a pushchair onto a flight, it is important to choose something lightweight and easily foldable. Most pushchairs are usually quite big and cannot be folded small enough to take on board with you as hand luggage. So instead, a travel pushchair might be your best choice. Our Coya, Orfeo and Libelle travel pushchairs are hand luggage compatible, fold with ease, and are super comfortable to carry around. The Coya and Orfeo even have handy carry straps. Please double check with your airline beforehand though, as some companies have different regulations than others when it comes to taking travel pushchairs or pushchairs into the plane with you.
This answer depends on the way you like to travel. If you prefer to take road trips, a pushchair like the Gazelle S or a travel pushchair like the Beezy are perfect, as they can be easily folded and placed in the boot of your car without taking up too much space. If you love going overseas and like the convenience of flying or travelling by train, then you will need something that can be folded even smaller and is allowed to be carried as hand luggage on an aeroplane. For that, we would recommend the Coya, Orfeo or Libelle travel pushchairs. Please always double check with your airline before flying though, as some companies have different regulations when it comes to hand luggage dimensions and weight.
Out of all our CYBEX pushchairs, these three are the lightest ones that we offer:
Melio Carbon, 5.9kg
Libelle: 6kg
Orfeo: 6.3kg
Coya: 6.6kg
These pushchairs and travel pushchairs combine ultra lightweight with surprising robustness, making life on the go as easy as possible for you.
When you’re carrying two children in a pushchair, it’s important that they both ride in equal comfort. In the CYBEX pushchair family, the versatile Gazelle S is our best pushchair option for siblings and twins. You can attach two baby car seats, carry cots or seat units to the pushchair frame, so that both your children will be comfortable throughout any journey. In fact, you have over 20 configurations available to fit your needs for every day. For example, should you decide to go for a quick city stroll, simply attach two seat packs as that will instantly make manoeuvring through narrow streets a piece of cake. Also, the spacious lower basket provides enough space for you to carry the huge amount of essentials you’ll need for two children, helping you always stay comfortable on the go.
Yes, pushchairs can definitely be used for carrying newborns. Many of our pushchairs come with the option of attaching a carry cot, where a baby can spend their first few months in comfort, sheltered from the outside world. Several of our pushchairs have seats that can be reclined to an ergonomic lie-flat position – and you can also install a newborn nest into the seat, promising a snug and safe environment for your new arrival. In addition to this, any of our baby car seats can be clicked onto our pushchairs with the help of car seat adapters, making life on the go even easier for you.
It’s extremely easy to attach any CYBEX baby car seats to our travel pushchairs and pushchairs. You just need to find the right car seat adapter for the pushchair you own. These are all available at CYBEX retailers or in our online shop. You simply click the adapters onto your pushchair frame and then use them to attach your baby car seat onto them with ease. The baby car seat can also be removed at a moment’s notice when you need to.
When we say that a pushchair is ‘travel system-ready’, we mean that it can be customised to fit different needs. For example, say your child has finally fallen asleep in their CYBEX baby car seat while you are out running errands and taking them out of the seat risks waking them up. No problem! You can simply take your car seat out of the vehicle and attach it to your pushchair, allowing you to go about your day while avoiding any tears. Or what if your baby is growing faster than you can blink and their carry cot is getting too cramped? That’s also no problem! You can simply switch from cot to pushchair seat in moments, giving your child room to stretch out.
Yes, we have several pushchairs that are foldable enough to be carried in a bag, for example the Coya or Orfeo travel pushchairs. However, our best pushchair for carry convenience is our Libelle. We’ve even designed a specific bag that fits this travel pushchair perfectly: the Libelle Travel Bag. Folding and unfolding takes mere seconds, so for ultimate convenience, the Libelle is your top-choice.
Yes, all our pushchairs come with sun protection through a sun shade with UPF50+, letting your child enjoy beach walks without you having to worry about dangerous rays. Additionally, a lot of our pushchairs come with an extra large sun canopy that can be pulled down even further for uninterrupted naps and even more fun on cool summer days.
Usually, the main differences between a pushchair and a travel pushchair is that a pushchair is larger, more stable, and can be reclined to a fully flat position. This makes pushchairs a good choice to carry children from birth. On the other hand, travel pushchairs are typically more suitable for use from approximately six months old: once your child can hold their head up independently and can sit upright.
However, many CYBEX travel pushchairs, such as the Coya and Beezy, can be reclined to an ergonomic lie-flat position, allowing babies to lie in them from birth. These travel pushchairs also feature all-wheel suspension for smoother rides. And all our travel pushchairs are travel system-ready, meaning you can mount a baby car seat on them. This means your baby can ride in your CYBEX travel pushchair from day one.
