Installation and Securing your child

Can I also use the this seat without the base?

Yes, this infant car seat is equipped with alternate belt guides that make it commuter friendly and can be safely installed without the need for the base. You will want to ensure that the vehicle belt buckle and hardware do not interfere with the infant carrier as well as make sure that you only install with a locking vehicle lap/shoulder belt. Please reference the pages in your owner's manual that review proper installation without the base for this car seat using the lap/shoulder belt.

Can I use the Aton G Swivel base for my Aton G infant seat?

Yes, new Aton G seat can mix and match bases between the standard Aton G Base or the Aton G Swivel Base.

Safe Travel

Do I need to use the harness straps when my child is in carriage mode?

Yes, the harness straps should be used at all times while a child is in the stroller, whether in carriage mode or toddler seat mode.

Can I use this seat on a flight?

Yes, this seat is approved for use on an airplane according to the requirments of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA recommends that you secure your child for air travel in an appropriate Child Restraint based on your child's weight and size. Turbulence can happen with little or no warning. When turbulence occurs, the safest place for your child is in a properly installed Child Restraint instead of in an adult's lap or on the aircraft seat with its seat belt. Keeping your child in a Child Restraint during the flight will help ensure your family arrives safely at your destination. Please contact your airline before departure to make sure this restraint meets their requirements. Always refer to your Child Restraint owner's manual for aircraft installation.

Can I leave my Aton G Swivel seat in the swiveled position after taking my baby out?

Yes, as long as the car will remain parked, and you're not planning on driving to another destination. If you swivel the base and remove the child or infant carrier and intend to continue traveling, you must rotate the base back into the drive position.

Usage

What is the maximum child weight the Eos can hold?

In carriage mode the maximum weight is 20 lbs. Once the child can sit upright unassisted, carriage mode should be discontinued. In toddler seat mode the maximum weight is 50 lbs.

When would I use the swivel function?

The ideal use for this function is when your child is a bit older and carrying them in the car seat is getting too heavy.  With the swivel base, you now have the option of conveniently turning the baby toward you to easily remove them and put them in a stroller.  You can also remove your younger infant that is less than 20 pounds and put them directly in a compatible carry cot on one of our strollers.

Can I swivel the car seat while the car is in motion?

Neither the infant seat nor the base should be turned or swiveled while the car is in motion.

Can I used a rolled towel or pool noodle under the base of my car seat to achieve the correct recline angle?

In some vehicles, even when your car seat is in the most reclined position, it may be necessary to place a rolled towel or pool noodle beneath (not behind) the car seat near the vehicle seat back to provide enough recline so that the recline indicator is in the correct zone for rear-facing use. For an infant car seat with the base, the adjustable foot should be stored before adding the rolled towel or pool noodle. For a convertible or all-in-one car seat, make sure the car seat is set in an appropriate rear-facing recline position, and then add the rolled towel or pool noodle. For additional details, please refer to your product instructions or contact our ParentLink customer service team.

Functionality

How many modes of use does the Eos offer?

The Eos offers 5 modes of use that offer ease of use no matter the child's age: Carriage mode parent facing, carriage mode world facing, toddler seat parent facing, toddler seat world facing, and infant car seat parent facing.

Can I fold Eos with the seat unit attached?

Yes, the Eos can easily fold with the seat unit attached in toddler seat mode.  For additional space savings, you can fold down the leg rest. The stroller can stand on its own when folded.

How can I get the seat from toddler mode to carriage mode?

To use the stroller in carriage mode, be sure that the strap under the leg rest is unbuckled, and the footrest is raised up, the stroller seat is pivoted back via the recline handle to a horizontal position, and the backrest recline adjustment webbing is fully pulled out to have the carriage surface be flat.  You may need to press down on the inside of the seating area to flatten it.

Can I fold the Eos while it's in Carriage Mode?

Yes the Eos will fold in Carriage mode while in world facing view.  Just fold back the canopy and pivot the handle to the folding position, then engage the frame fold triggers to collapse the frame, and pull up on the central support bar under the seat to help fold the basket and engage the frame lock.  Lastly, you can fold down the footrest for a more compact fold.
