No, as the technology is integrated into the e-GAZELLE S frame and separately certified.

What is the Rocking Mode function and is it safe for my child?

The rocking movement is modelled in a way parents rock their children in strollers to calm or soothe them down. The Rocking Mode function has 3 intensity modes: low, medium, and high. The lower intensity should be used from birth up to until the child is able to sit upright unassisted (approx. 6–9 months old). After this you can try the other intensity settings, however, please bear in mind that every child is unique and develops at a different rate. If you aren’t sure whether your child should be rocked in the e-GAZELLE S, we recommend consulting a pediatrician beforehand. Always carefully follow the instructions given in the user instructions. Ensure the stroller’s brake and front swivel wheels are locked before starting the rocking function. Do not use the rocking function on slopes or uneven surfaces, or in the presence of obstacles, walls, or stairs. Please monitor your child when using the rocking function. This function is suitable for children from birth up to approximately 4 years (50 lbs). It is safe to use when the e-GAZELLE S is used with an infant car seat (up to 28.6 lbs), GAZELLE S cot (up to 20 lbs) or seat unit. If the child is in an infant car seat or seat unit, ensure the harness is closed according to standard safety instructions.

Can I take an e-GAZELLE S onto an airplane?

You can travel with your e-GAZELLE S on an aircraft; however, you will need to follow the TSA guidelines for a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The lithium-ion battery will need to be removed from the stroller and the battery terminals protected from short circuit. You can do this by placing the battery in a protective pouch or bag pocket. The lithium-ion battery must be carried in carry-on baggage only. Please refer to TSA.gov and your airline for other requirements, limitations, and instructions.

My stroller is turned on, and I have engaged the lever but it's not moving forward?

This is an intentional safety feature. In order for the stroller to move forward, you need to push the stroller and take a step forward.

How do I maximize my battery life?

It's recommended that you fully charge your battery at least once every 9 months.

Installation and Securing your child

Can I carry my newborn baby in the Gazelle S stroller?

For newborns, you can use a CYBEX infant car seat with the included adapters or a Gazelle S Cot. It is recommended that your child be a minimum of 3 months old before riding directly in the stroller seat and even then, we recommend it be used in the most reclined position. Young babies incapable of holding their head up must be provided additional head and neck support to ride safely. Each child is unique and develop at different rates. If you are uncertain whether your child is ready, please consult with your pediatrician regarding the suitability of the stroller use with your child.

Which CYBEX car seats can I attach to my Cybex stroller?

You can attach any CYBEX infant car seat to the Stroller. Simply attach the car seat to the frame using the included adapters.

Will other manufacturers infant seats fit my Gazelle S Stroller?

While Cybex infants seats are designed to be the most compatible and have the best match to the stroller, the Maxi Cosi Mico 30, Maxi Cosi Mico Max, Maxi Cosi Coral XP, Nuna Pipa, Nuna Pipa Lite, Chicco Keyfit 30, Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 4-35, Peg Perego Lounge, Britax Bsafe 35, and Britax Bsafe 35 Elite also fit.

Can I use a COT with my Stroller?

Yes, the Cybex Gazelle S COT is compatible with this Stroller.

Will other manufacturers infant seats fit my Stroller?

While CYBEX infant seat are desgned to be the most compatible and have the best match for your stroller, the included adapters are generally compatible with most Nuna and Maxi Cosi infant seats. Contact ParentLink to check on specific models.

Can I also use the e-GAZELLE S without assistance from the electronic functions?

Yes, if you don´t turn on the power button the e-GAZELLE S can still be pushed around like a regular stroller.

It can be used in the following modes: Single: For a single child, a GAZELLE S cot, infant car seat or GAZELLE S seat unit can be mounted onto the e-GAZELLE S frame. A detachable shopping basket is also included on the frame to carry all your day-to-day essentials. Sibling: To carry two children, the shopper basket can be replaced with another GAZELLE S cot, GAZELLE S seat unit or infant car seat to allow several different riding combinations. Twin: For twin babies, the e-GAZELLE S can carry two GAZELLE S cots, GAZELLE S seat units or infant car seats. This allows the two children to travel with the same level of comfort.

Can I attach a Kid Board to the e-GAZELLE S as I can for a GAZELLE S?

For safety reasons, you should never attach a Kid Board or any additional child platform/kid board to your e-GAZELLE S.

The second seat can be purchased separately and can be attached to either the upper or lower adapters. It has 3 recline positions to ensure stability, safety, and comfort. Each seat can hold a child up to 50 lbs.

How do I fold my e-GAZELLE S?

You can fold your stroller away for storage or transportation in a few simple steps: 1) Engage the brake pedal 2) Lift the lever on the back of the seat unit and push the seat unit forward until it folds onto the frame. 3) Simultaneously push the 2 white buttons on the user interface on the handlebar with one hand and at the same time lift the lever on the left-hand side of the handlebar. 4) Push the handlebar down into its telescopic tube with a click. 5) Pushing the center of the handlebar downwards now lets the stroller frame fold in until it locks securely in place, ready to be stored away. Why is my stroller moving forward so quickly when I engage the thumb lever?

Think of the lever as you would your foot on a vehicle accelerator. You should gently press it to move forward and further press more if you need to gain speed and let up on the lever if you need less speed.

Can I also use the e-GAZELLE S without assistance from the electronic functions?

Yes, if you don´t turn on the power button the e-GAZELLE S can still be pushed around like a regular stroller.

Why is my stroller moving forward so quickly especially when empty, when I engage the thumb lever?

The E-Gazelle S features built-in electric motors designed to assist with pushing, making it easier to navigate hills and rough terrain. When the stroller is empty, there is less weight to create resistance, so the motors respond more quickly to movement, resulting in faster acceleration. For a smoother experience, we recommend keeping a firm grip on the handlebar and adjusting your walking speed gradually. Think of the lever as you would your foot on a vehicle accelerator. You should gently press it to move forward and further press more if you need to gain speed and let up on the lever if you need less speed.

Additionally the Gazelle S has an extra-large stroller basket which can carry up to 30 lbs, and the detachable Shopping Basket can carry up to 25 lbs of groceries, day-to-day essentials or whatever else you pick up on your trip outside

What is the benefit of the One Pull Harness?

This is a brand new feature for CYBEX strollers. Rather than tightening the harness straps individually, which can be time consuming, the one-pull harness can be tightened simply by pulling a strap at the base of the seat once the buckles are secured. This makes getting your child onboard quick and easy, and also helps you find the perfect form-hugging fit for your child’s comfort and safety.

How does the uneven surface support work?

All strolling e-powered support is controlled by the acceleration lever on the handlebar.

How do I charge the battery and how often does it need recharging?

A charging cable is provided in the product package. You have a choice between directly attaching the cable to the stroller or detaching the battery from the rear axle for charging. Never leave the e-GAZELLE S unattended while charging the battery. The battery must be charged until a green light shows on the charger. Charging time is around 3.5 hours, although when you charge the e-GAZELLE S for the first time this can take up to 6 hours depending on the battery status when you unpack the product. The battery run time depends on external conditions such as surface characteristics, temperature, and incline, as well as the load, for example the weight of the child and items in the basket. In fair conditions (flat terrain with short hills and a few uneven surfaces, an outside temperature of approximately 68˚F, a load of 20-22lbs) the battery will last for approximately 28 miles. In difficult conditions (outdoor terrain with short hills and many uneven surfaces, an outside temperature of approximately 50-68˚F, a load of 33lbs) the battery will last for approximately 12.4 miles. In extreme conditions (rugged terrain with very long and steep hills and mostly uneven surfaces, an outside temperature below 50˚F, a load of 55lbs) the battery will last for approximately 5 miles. The values mentioned above are estimates. The real values might differ or vary according to usage, external influences, and the condition of the battery. Additionally, the capacity of the e-GAZELLE S´ lithium-ion battery decreases with age and usage. This might have an impact on battery run time.

What level of performance will I get from the electronic functions?

The smart hill support can help you climb a slope of up to approximately 25% (or approximately 14°). This is similar to the incline of Lombard Street in San Francisco. Up to this point it will take little effort to push the e-GAZELLE S up the incline. The electric motor will keep providing support until the e-GAZELLE S reaches a speed of 3.1 MPH. If the stroller moves faster than this then the support will stop.

What is the Rocking Mode function and how can I activate it?

The Rocking Mode is a world-first feature helping you to calm your baby down, without even having to touch the stroller. At the touch of a button your e-GAZELLE S will move back and forth, mimicking the gentle rocking motion every parent knows by heart. Three intensity settings are available so you can find the perfect rhythm for your child. So, you can get on with your daily tasks or simply take a well-earned break while your child is gently soothed. However, please never leave your child unattended while using the rocking function. Activating the rocking feature is easy. Simply engage the brake, ensure the front wheels are locked, press the power button, and then press the rocking mode button. The length of time you press it determines the intensity you activate: one light for the first level, two lights for the second and three lights gives you the maximum level of rocking. Once activated the rocking mode will continue for 20 minutes.
