A Higher Standard of Safety

.Parents around the world have one thing in common: They all want to protect their children. Compromise is not an option, especially when it comes to road safety. At CYBEX, we aim to deliver superior safety with all our car seats, without exception.

Around the world, safety standards have been set up to regulate the manufacture of car seats. CYBEX car seats are engineered in Germany – where safety standards are among the highest in the world. In Europe, manufacturers must comply with UN standards R44/04 or R129: instigating tough testing regimes and setting a baseline of safety features. But we don’t stop there.

In our purpose-built facility at CYBEX headquarters, we conduct hundreds of crash tests every year. Our goal is to ensure that CYBEX car seats not only meet European regulatory requirements, but exceed them – irrespective of whether they are to be sold in Europe, Asia or North America. For all our car seats, we follow the strict requirements of the car seat test carried out by the ADAC and partners, known simply as the ADAC Test.

Leading European Safety Test

The ADAC Test is carried out by a group of automotive and consumer protection organizations: the German ADAC and Stiftung Warentest, the Austrian ÖAMTC, and the Swiss TCS. Twice a year, car seats are selected for testing across a range of different factors. To achieve a “Good”, “Very Good” or “Best in Class” rating, car seats must demonstrate safety high above regulatory standards. Our guiding principle is for all tested CYBEX seats to achieve a minimum “Good” rating.
