The latest Child Restraint System of the Solution series has convinced the most important European consumer organizations thus making the CYBEX Solution X Europe’s number one car seat of its group.

Every year the latest car seat models on the market are under close scrutiny by each national consumer organization in Europe. In 2008 the CYBEX Solution X child restraint system received convincing results across the board and proved to be the best car seat of its group II/III (15 to 36 kg) in all important European consumer tests.

In Germany, the two most influential consumer organizations agree: the CYBEX Solution X is rated „Good“ by the ADAC (German Automobile Association) as well as „Stiftung Warentest” who awards the latest CYBEX child seat with a 1.9 score. Additionally, both consumer organizations list the Solution X as best seat in its group.

“Which?“, Britain’s most renowned consumer organization, also recommends the CYBEX Solution X as “Which? Best Buy” product calling it “a good quality seat that scores highly for safety and (…) very easy to use”. In the organization’s test the CYBEX Solution X scored an extraordinary 72%, making it the best of its category.

In Scandinavia the Danish “FDM” declares the Solution X to be the “best of the competition” in the group II/III, giving it best grades (“very good”) especially in usability. The CYBEX system scored highest in terms of crash protection thus justifying the “FDM”’s ruling to call it the “top performer” of its class.

France’s “Que choisir” gave the Solution X 15 out of 20 possible points, with the top grades in the category functionality. The Solution X was the only child seat to receive such good marks in the group II/III, again making it the organization’s “Best Choice” within the seat’s group.

These results are only exemplary for the extremely positive scores the CYBEX Solution X received all over Europe. Additionally, the latest Solution child restraint system convinced ÖAMTC in Austria, ANWD in the Netherlands and TCS in Switzerland. Furthermore, the CYBEX Solution X is finalist in the last round of the prestigious “Todopapás” awards in Spain. This year the CYBEX Solution X has already received the best test result from the prestigious autobild.de and was awarded with an “honourable mention” by the red dot design award.


All organizations judged the car seats in terms of safety and overall features. In detail the following criteria were considered: side and front crash protection, ease of use, comfort, instruction and ease of cleaning. In all single tests the CYBEX Solution X was able to score highest points and gain top position in the competition.

The European test results prove that CYBEX has been able to successfully implement a new and improved safety concept. The newly designed shoulder protectors of the Solution X have been combined into the L.S.P. System (Linear.Side-impact.Protection). In detail, this new safety mechanism is reflected in the linear alignment of headrest and shoulder protectors in which the momentum of a side impact collision is systematically reduced. Due to this new configuration, a series of reactions are triggered in which the head and shoulder protectors absorb the momentum of the body at an early stage during the impact and lock the sensitive head of the child into the safety zone of the seat. Additionally, the CYBEX Solution X is equipped with the worldwide patented three-position reclining headrest which elegantly and safely solves the problem of the falling forward of the child's head when asleep. Especially in the case of a side impact collision your child's head stays inside the safety zone and does not fall into a dangerous position.
